Things never really got much better than this. But after the new install was working I was told I needed to make a change I will be assimilated.
I selected the Verify operation against the array and resigned myself to waiting another 40 hours for this to complete. This is the BIOS release v6.

Well, I decided against the bios upgrade and chose to just install drivers - downloaded the signed vista x64 drivers from adaptec and guess what - no 11220sa, Se7en just said that it windowss find any signed drivers and I refuse to go back and tit around with floppy drives and discs So anyway, I decided to use the second sata controller on the asus mainboard to run a drive for backups and other stuff so that it's away from the intel controller where all the other discs are.

Flashing bios through flash drive can someone give me an instructions on how to put bios update on a flash drive. Similar help and support threads.
The build of the array took 40 hours which was a pain but worse was to come. Copy the expanded files to a floppy diskette. Perhaps not a question for sevenforums, but I'd figure 11220sa guys would either have the answer, or be able to direct me to the answer.
