Just a warning to those of you with Toshiba Laptops -- this scanner is known by HP not to work with Toshiba laptops, because of a compatibility scnner between HP's driver and the specific USB host controller used by Toshiba. With non-optimized resolution of 4, x 9, bit color, and level grayscale, every image or text document comes out sharp and clear.
